Joey's first soccer practice
Joey is on his first Soccer Team this year. It is again through the Y (like T-Ball). This coach is hilarious. He is a pretty strict coach for 4 and 5 year olds, but Josh and I think it is actually pretty awesome. The coach isn't mean at all, but you can see that he is trying to teach the kids really young how to listen and work hard at practice. Joey kept up with the entire 1 and a half hour practice. We were so impressed with our boy!!

Katy's FIRST Husky Game
Katy enjoyed her first Husky game a couple Saturdays ago. The Dawgs beat Hawaii, so Katy is on a winning streak. She did pretty good at the game. Of course Joey was there as well and had a little bit of a rough time when the crowd got really loud. But for the most part, Joey did pretty good too.
Joey's helmet protected him from the wild crowd.

Husky Picture Day 2011
The whole family went to Husky Picture Day this year. Last year it was just Josh and he waited the whole time in Jake Locker's line and left with nothing! So this year we all went so we could divide and conquer. Right when we were let in the gate, Josh ran to Chris Polk's line and I ran to Coach Sark's line. We both scored! Here is Coach Sark and my kiddos...
And here is Joey and Chris Polk:

Josh and Colleen's Wedding
Hood Canal Vacation
We started out our long trip to the Canal this summer with a hike in the Olympic National Park. Josh has been studying his Olympic Peninsula hiking book for years and he finally got to use it.
Another thing Josh has been wanting to do when we were at the Canal is go to a Tacoma Rainiers game. We made it to the game, but were running late. On our walk to the game the guy in the picture below (on the jumbo screen) hit a home run. It bounced outside the park and Josh was able to run up and grab it!! He was so excited because he has never gotten a ball despite going to so many baseball games. He was like a little kid and he couldn't stop smiling and re-living the moment. It was very cute.
Josh and Joey went clamming. While Josh was busy filling the bucket with clams, Joey was busy getting very messy...
