Visiting Grandpa
We visited grandpa today at Tahoma National Cemetary on the one year
anniversary of his passing. Still missing him so much. Can't believe
we're about to celebrate our 2nd Christmas without him.

What we've been up to
Joey at the canal in his new rain gear.
Out at dinner Joey unexpectedly pulled a napkin off the table and put it in his lap! I was a very proud mama.
Joey "crocheting" Si's replacement blanket. Don't worry Si... your new blanket is on the way:)
The West Seattle Mamas kicking butt at this year's Pineapple Classic. Thanks to all who donated BTW.
Tailgating at this year's Apple Cup. The Dawgs won 30 - 0!

Happy Veteran's Day
I'm sure missing my grandpa this Veteran's Day. Every news story I read or picture I see related to Veteran's Day keeps reminding me that this is my first Veteran's day without my grandpa. I miss him so much and would give anything to go down and visit him today. I think I will go visit my grandma. I remember when I was a kid she would take me downtown to go see the wall and then watch the parade. Everyone make sure you thank a Veteran today. And thank you to all of my many Veteran family members. I love you!

Pineapple Classic Time Again!
Pictures from last year's race:
Yes... the West Seattle Mamas are at it again. We will be participating in the most fun fundraiser in all of Seattle... The Winter Pineapple Classic! This is a fundraiser for BLOOD CANCER research. The event is a 5k run with obstacles that we must complete as a team... oh and don't forget we carry a pineapple. This is our third year and we are already training. If you would like to donate to me and my team, go to the following website:

Joey loves football... no surprise
Joey loves every sport. He loves to watch them on TV or in person. He loves to practice swinging his bat and running to first base. He loves to swing his golf club. And as everyone knows from the previous videos on here that he absolutely loves to shoot baskets. Well now he has taken up his latest love... football. He runs around with the ball... but the best part is he falls over and pretends to get tackled. It is so cute!
Finally some pictures of us at the Canal.
My parents bought a small cottage near hood canal. It is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. We are in within a very short walk of the 28-home community's private beach and a little longer walk to Belfair State Park. It is the perfect family getaway. So far we have spent a few weekends and a full week vacation over there. Here are some pictures from those trips.
